This wheel stud thread chaser set is designed for repairing damaged external threads on wheel studs.
Its unique split design allows the thread chaser to be mounted onto the undamaged section of the wheel stud before passing back through the damaged thread, making it possible to restore the first damaged thread turns that cannot normally be repaired with conventional dies.
Suitable for repairing wheel studs on passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

Scope of Delivery

Step 1 – Position the Thread Restorer
Select the correct thread restorer according to the wheel stud thread size and pitch.
Open the two halves of the thread restorer and position them on the undamaged section of the thread, behind the damaged area.
Step 2 – Install the Adapter
Place the adapter over the wheel stud.
Rotate the adapter until both locating pins engage with the openings between the two halves of the thread restorer. Ensure the thread restorer is fully seated inside the adapter.
Step 3 – Restore the Thread
Fit a 29 mm socket onto the hexagon of the adapter and attach a ratchet or sliding T-handle.
Turn the adapter toward the damaged section of the thread until the damaged threads have been completely restored.
