Special tool kit for installing the front PTFE crankshaft oil seal on PSA 2.7L and 3.0L HDi engines and Jaguar Land Rover 3.0L TDV6 engines.

PTFE oil seals must be brought to the required installation diameter before fitting. The installation cone gradually expands and guides the seal onto the crankshaft, while the installation sleeve presses it evenly into position until it reaches the specified stop.

This controlled procedure enables professional installation without deforming or damaging the sensitive sealing lip.

PTFE Oil Seal Installation

PTFE oil seals must always be installed completely dry and free from oil or grease.

Remove the old oil seal using a suitable special tool
Slide the new oil seal, front side first, over the installation cone and onto the crankshaft
Remove the installation cone
Use the installation sleeve and central bolt to press the oil seal fully against the specified stop

Possible Tightening Torque

Reference: Land Rover Range Rover L322 with 4.4L TD 448DT engine

Crankshaft pulley central bolt: 100 Nm + 103° + 35°

We recommend removing the starter to allow the flywheel to be securely counter-held. Always verify the applicable manufacturer specifications for the respective engine and vehicle.
