Technical Specifications
- Operating voltage: 12V DC (maximum 15V)
- Relay compatibility: Common automotive relays
- Supported relay types: 4-pin and 5-pin relays
- Minimum relay coil resistance: >20 Ω
- Status indication: Dual-color LED
- Power connection: Battery clamps (red/black crocodile clips)
Operating Procedure
- Connect the power supply cable to the vehicle's 12V battery:
- Connect the black crocodile clip to battery negative (-)
- Connect the red crocodile clip to battery positive (+)
- The tester is ready when the LED lights red.
- Select relay type before inserting the relay:
- Set switch to 4 PIN for 4-pin relays
- Set switch to 5 PIN for 5-pin relays
- Insert the relay into the appropriate relay socket.
- Press the test button to begin testing.
- The tester checks relay pin configuration:
- Red LED indicates incorrect pin layout or damaged relay terminals.
- If the pin configuration is correct, the tester activates the relay ten consecutive times:
- Contact opening and closing times are measured.
- Red LED indicates exceeded switching time limits.
- The tester verifies relay consistency:
- Green LED = relay passed the test
- Red LED = relay fault detected
- Disconnect the battery cables and remove the relay after testing.
