Adapter and Test Line Kit for Digital Pressure and Compression Tester, item no. 63410

This comprehensive adapter and test-line kit expands the diagnostic capabilities of the digital pressure and compression tester, item no. 63410.

It enables the pressure sensor to be integrated directly into different vehicle circuits for accurate pressure measurement in petrol, low-pressure diesel, AdBlue and cooling systems.

The numerous quick couplings, adapters, connectors and test lines allow the test assembly to be adapted to the available installation space and the configuration of the system being diagnosed.

Colour-Coded Quick Couplings

The quick couplings are colour-coded according to their intended application:

• Grey button: petrol and diesel fuel systems
• Red button: AdBlue systems
• Green button: cooling systems

Always use the coupling intended for the respective system. Components used with fuel, AdBlue or coolant should not be interchanged, as residual fluid may contaminate the vehicle system.

Application

1. Select the correct colour-coded quick coupling for the system being tested.
2. Depressurize the system according to the vehicle manufacturer’s procedure.
3. Disconnect a suitable hose or line in the vehicle circuit.
4. Install the pressure sensor supplied with tester item no. 63410 using the appropriate adapters and test lines. The sensor must be integrated into the circuit while retaining a connection for pressure measurement.
5. Connect the pressure sensor to the multifunction tester using the sensor cable.
6. Select the corresponding measurement function on the tester and perform the pressure test.
7. After completing the test, depressurize the system before disconnecting the test equipment.

Important: Allow the cooling system to cool before opening it. Observe all manufacturer-specified test pressures and safety procedures for the system being diagnosed.

Circuit Isolation and Pump Testing

The included ball shut-off valve can be used to close the connected circuit temporarily. This allows the maximum pressure generated by the relevant pump to be checked.

The test assembly can be configured using the supplied T-adapter, straight connectors, 90° elbows and different line lengths.

Do not exceed the permissible pressure of the tested system or the connected components.

Compatible Main Tester

For use with the BGS digital pressure and compression tester, item no. 63410.

The pressure sensor, sensor cable, electronic display and data-storage functions belong to the compatible main tester and are not included in this expansion kit.
