Camtronic Valve Lift Adjustment Tool for Mercedes M139 AMG (as W139589003100)

This special tool is used for the base adjustment of the CAMTRONIC® valve lift system on Mercedes-Benz M139 AMG engines.

The M139 engine series features a variable valve lift system on the exhaust camshaft, achieved through movable elements on the camshaft. During engine repair or prior to camshaft installation, the system must be set to its base position.

Failure to perform this adjustment will result in engine damage.

Functionality

The tool ensures correct alignment and positioning of the movable camshaft elements, allowing safe and accurate setup of the valve lift system before assembly.

Installation Instructions

• The insert with knurled screw must be positioned centrally between the movable elements
• The narrower insert must be placed towards the camshaft gear
• At the end of the camshaft, the thinner insert must be positioned before the sensor disc

Correct placement of the tool is essential for accurate adjustment.
