This CO₂ indicator fluid is designed as a refill solution for CO₂ diagnostic and leak detection devices used for identifying combustion gases in vehicle cooling systems.
The fluid assists in detecting exhaust gas contamination in coolant circuits, commonly associated with faults such as damaged or leaking cylinder head gaskets. It provides a fast and effective diagnostic method for identifying internal engine-related cooling system issues.
Function Principle
The indicator fluid reacts chemically when exposed to CO₂ (carbon dioxide).
Color change sequence:
- Blue → No combustion gas detected
- Green / Yellow → CO₂ detected in the cooling system
After use, the fluid may gradually regenerate and return to its original blue color. If necessary, gently shake the fluid to support the regeneration process.
