This adapter set is specifically designed for pressure testing coolant-cooled components with smaller hose connections. It allows isolated diagnostics of individual components such as intercoolers, EGR coolers, and transmission oil coolers, which cannot always be accurately tested via the expansion tank.

Accurate Diagnosis of Hidden Coolant Loss

In cases of gradual coolant loss without visible external leaks, this tool enables precise testing of suspected components. It is particularly effective for identifying internal leaks in:

EGR coolers
Charge air intercoolers
Transmission oil coolers

Controlled Testing Procedure

Testing is performed by sealing one side of the system using hose clamp pliers or hose clamps, while applying pressure through the stepped adapter on the opposite side.

Each adapter features a connector nipple compatible with standard coolant pressure testing kits and pressure pumps.

Manufacturer-Specified Testing Method

The application follows OEM diagnostic procedures. Example test reference:

Engine: 2.0L BiTDI (engine code DAUA)
Test pressure: approx. 2 bar
Allowed pressure drop: max. 0.2 bar within 10 minutes
