Camshaft Alignment Tools (A / B)
To be used as OEM 303-1236
The camshaft alignment tools A & B consist of four components: 01 / 02 / 03 / 04.
They are mounted directly behind the camshaft timing chain onto the cylinder head.
- The tools must be tightened to 10 Nm
- They must sit flush on the surface of the cylinder head
Important:
If the alignment tools do not sit flush, the camshaft timing must be checked and corrected.
Flywheel Locking Tool (C)
To be used as OEM 303-1243
Used to hold the flywheel and crankshaft while loosening and tightening the crankshaft pulley bolt.
Crankshaft Locking Pin (E)
To be used as OEM 303-1238
Used to lock the crankshaft in the timing position.
- The tool is inserted into the internal thread on the engine block
- The correct position is reached when the crankshaft surface rests against the pin
Warning:
Do NOT use this tool to hold the crankshaft when loosening or tightening the crankshaft pulley bolt.
Camshaft Turning Pin (F)
To be used as OEM 303-1239
Used as a simple lever to rotate the camshaft into the required position.
