Adapter and Accessory Set for Ford Triton Broken Spark Plug Removal Tool, item no. 120814

This adapter set is designed for removing broken ceramic insulators and remaining electrode sleeves from the spark plug bore. It is intended for use with the broken spark plug removal tool with item no. 120814.

The included adapter pins are bonded into the ceramic fragment remaining inside the spark plug bore using the supplied special adhesive. The fragment can then be extracted safely with the main removal tool without falling into the cylinder.

Application

1. Apply the supplied special adhesive and insert a suitable adapter pin into the ceramic fragment remaining in the spark plug bore.
2. Once the adhesive has bonded securely, remove the ceramic fragment using the tool with item no. 120814.
3. After removing the ceramic, insert one of the red plastic protective sleeves into the remaining electrode sleeve.
4. Extract the electrode sleeve using the removal tool from the main set. The plastic sleeve helps prevent swarf and broken components from falling into the cylinder.

Important Note

The adapter pins are wear parts intended primarily for single use. Depending on their condition, they may be shortened and reused.
