Cooling System Vacuum Filler & Leak Tester – Universal 30–50 mm

This universal cooling system vacuum filler and vacuum leak tester is designed for professional refilling and sealing checks of vehicle cooling systems. Manufactured in durable metal construction with an adjustable expansion function (30–50 mm), it provides secure sealing inside the expansion tank for efficient vacuum generation.

After cooling system repairs, simple refilling often leads to air pockets trapped in radiators, oil coolers, EGR coolers, charge air coolers, pipe bends, thermostats or auxiliary heaters. These air locks may cause overheating, temperature fluctuations, warning messages, or reduced cabin heating performance.

This vacuum filling tool eliminates those issues by evacuating the system before refilling. The system is filled under vacuum, ensuring completely air-free coolant circulation and optimal system performance.

The rubber expansion plug is adjusted using a knurled nut, allowing tight sealing inside the expansion tank. During vacuum generation, the unit remains securely mounted without manual support.

Scope of Delivery:

• 1 x Vacuum filling unit with gauge and expansion function Ø 30–35 mm

• 1 x Sealing ring adapter Ø 35–40 mm

• 1 x Sealing ring adapter Ø 35–45 mm

• 1 x Sealing ring adapter Ø 45–50 mm

• 1 x Suction hose with integrated filter

• 1 x Discharge hose

• 1 x Heavy-duty storage case

Tip:

For uncommon vehicle applications, two sealing rings may be combined to increase the diameter up to Ø 60 mm.

Application Instructions:

1. Ensure the expansion tank is empty and the cooling system is not pre-filled.

2. Insert the vacuum unit with the correct adapter ring into the expansion tank and expand using the grip nut.

3. Set the lever to “CLOSED”.

4. Connect the Venturi block to the quick coupling.

5. The thinner hose evacuates accidentally drawn coolant and discharges air.

6. Connect compressed air supply to the Venturi block.

7. Open the switching lever to generate vacuum.

8. Build vacuum to approx. -0.7 to -0.9 bar, then close the lever.

9. Monitor the gauge. If vacuum remains stable, the system is leak-free.

10. Remove the Venturi block and connect the thicker hose to the quick coupling. Insert the other end into premixed coolant container (integrated filter prevents debris intake).

11. Slowly open the coolant lever to allow steady filling.

12. Once vacuum is fully released, the system should be completely filled and air-free.

13. Start the engine and check for leaks and proper heating performance.
