This specialized tool is designed to hold the high-pressure pump drive shaft securely during service or replacement on 3.0 TDI engines from VW, Audi, and Porsche. Fine-toothed or coarse-toothed adapters may be required depending on engine configuration—always consult the repair guide before use.

Service Method & References

Remove components such as the engine oil cooler, intake manifold, turbocharger, and coolant shut-off valve before removing the high-pressure pump.
Ensure the engine is in the set position with the high-pressure pump pin inserted.
After replacing fuel system components, activate the fuel pre-feed pump via diagnostic tool for at least 120 seconds to ensure proper bleeding.
When replacing the high-pressure pump, high-pressure lines must also be replaced.
