Secondary Sprocket Installation Tool

Equivalent to OEM 116180

• Place the sprockets onto the installation tool (1)
• Ensure correct positioning of the tooth gap (A) and install the timing chain
• Remove the sprockets together with the chain from the tool
  → Ensure that the chain position relative to the sprockets does not change
• Install the sprockets with the chain onto the engine

VANOS Adjustment Tool

Equivalent to OEM 116150

• Remove the gasket and install the tool (2) (without the gasket installed)
• Ensure the tool is properly seated against the cylinder head
• Insert the bolts and tighten them to secure the tool

Compressed Air Adapter

Equivalent to OEM 113450

• Remove the oil pressure line from the VANOS unit
• Install the compressed air adapter (3) and connect the compressed air supply
• Apply pressure to the VANOS unit within a range of 2–8 bar

⚠️ Warning

When applying compressed air, oil may be expelled from the VANOS unit.
→ Cover the area with a suitable cloth to prevent contamination.
