This oil service station combines a 70 L tank, oil extraction equipment and a three-drawer tool trolley. The supplied oil filter cap wrenches and drain plug tools support oil changes and related maintenance on a wide range of vehicle models.

Oil collection and extraction

The station extracts oil from engines using suction probes and a standard compressed-air supply. It is designed for one-person operation and has a centrally mounted, height-adjustable round collection bowl.

The tank has a graduated level indicator. A pressure gauge with a rubber protective cover and a safety valve are included. The station connects to the air supply through a European-standard compressed-air fitting.

Oil filter and drain plug tools

The supplied tools include black-painted steel oil filter cap wrenches for loosening and tightening oil filters, together with drain plug bits, a sliding T-handle and extensions.

Two durable rigid foam inserts keep the tools protected and organised. Fitted recesses hold the individual tools in place during storage and movement.

Trolley construction and storage

  • Sturdy sheet steel construction with a scratch-resistant powder-coated body.
  • Three drawers with ball-bearing runners and 100% extension.
  • Maximum load capacity of 6 kg per drawer.
  • Sealed upper work surface to protect the trolley interior from spilled liquids.
  • Corner protection on all four corners.

Installation

  1. Fit the castors.
  2. Mount the vacuum measuring chamber onto the main unit and turn it clockwise until secure. Connect the transparent hose (V) to the chamber.
  3. Mount the adjustable collection bowl post (N) onto the main unit and turn it clockwise until secure. Fit the collection bowl onto the post (N) and turn it clockwise until secure.
  4. Turn the locking ring clockwise to lock the height adjustment. Turn it anticlockwise to release it for adjustment.
  5. Fit the pressure gauge.

Oil extraction through the dipstick tube

  1. Close the measuring chamber valve (B) by pressing it down and turning it to the centre position. Release it so that it springs back into the closed position.
  2. Make sure the extraction ON/OFF valve (G) is in the OFF position. Connect an extraction probe (Y) suitable for the engine.
  3. Connect the compressed-air supply to the air inlet (D).
  4. Allow the vacuum gauge (W) to reach a vacuum reading of 0.06–0.08 MPa, then stop generating vacuum. This corresponds to a vacuum magnitude of 0.6–0.8 bar.
  5. Insert the extraction probe (Y) into the engine’s dipstick tube and open the extraction valve (G) to start extracting oil.
  6. Once extraction is complete, record the collected oil volume before opening the measuring chamber valve (B) to drain the oil into the waste oil tank.

Collecting oil by gravity

  1. Raise the vehicle to a suitable working height using appropriate lifting equipment.
  2. Position the oil service station beneath the engine and align the collection bowl with the engine’s oil drain opening.
  3. Remove the engine oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain into the collection bowl.

Emptying the waste oil tank

  1. Close the measuring chamber valve (B) by pressing it down and turning it to the centre position. Release it so that it springs up into the closed position.
  2. Close the tank discharge valve (U) and the tank compressed-air inlet valve (R).
  3. Secure the waste oil discharge hose (T) in or over a suitable collection container before opening the discharge valve.
  4. Connect the compressed-air supply hose to the tank’s compressed-air connection.
  5. Open the discharge valve (U). Fully open the tank air inlet valve (R); do not leave it partially open.
  6. Watch the tank pressure gauge (M). As soon as it reads 0.18–0.20 MPa, equivalent to 1.8–2.0 bar, immediately close the air inlet valve (R) to prevent further pressure build-up.
  7. Allow the waste oil to discharge through the secured hose (T).
  8. Once emptying is complete, disconnect the compressed-air supply. Release the remaining tank pressure by opening the tank air inlet valve (R).
  9. Open the measuring chamber valve (B) and leave it open for storage.

Do not continuously pressurise the tank. The safety valve (S) responds to increasing pressure, while the non-return valve (X) opens and closes automatically. Monitor the gauge and close the air inlet at the specified pressure.

Operating limits and storage

  • Do not overfill the measuring chamber. Stop extraction as soon as the oil reaches the STOP marking on its side.
  • Drain the measuring chamber into the waste oil tank before continuing extraction.
  • Leave the measuring chamber valve (B) open after completing oil extraction.
  • Do not extract oil at temperatures above 80 °C.

Two source details need checking before publication: “Volvo N70” and the Motorcraft references “FLINFLA 1B, FL3001, FL320” appear potentially mistyped. I’ve retained them as supplied. In the tank-emptying sequence, I’ve moved hose securing before valve opening; the original lists it afterwards and repeats the instruction to open valve (U).
