Special tool for the correct installation of the transmission-side crankshaft oil seal on selected 2.5L and 3.0L diesel engines.
The oil seal is difficult to install correctly without the appropriate tool because it incorporates a metal sealing ring that must be pressed firmly onto the crankshaft. This metal ring provides the seal and rotates inside the oil seal during engine operation.
The installation tool supports straight, controlled pressing and ensures that the seal is positioned at the specified depth.
Important Installation Dimension
The distance between the crankshaft and the oil seal must be between 3.2 and 3.8 mm.

We recommend using the Elring crankshaft oil seal, Item no. 454.060.
The illustrated oil seal is not included.
