Roof Grab Handle Release Tool for Retaining Clips as VAG T10518A

The roof grab handle release tool is specially designed for safe and damage-free removal of roof grab handle retaining clips inside the vehicle interior. Using conventional tools such as screwdrivers may cause damage to the handle, retaining clips or even the headliner itself.

This special lever tool enables precise unlocking and removal of the roof grab handles while minimizing the risk of damage to surrounding components.

The slim angled blade and defined lever geometry allow controlled access to the retaining clips and ensure reliable operation during service and repair procedures.

Important Information

The previous special tool generation as T10517 (Item no. 120465) can generally be replaced by this newer generation as T10518A, since T10518A officially supersedes both VAG tools T10517 and T10518 according to updated manufacturer specifications.

For vehicles up to model year 2020 or for older roof handle designs, the use of Item no. 120465 (as T10517) is still recommended when specifically required by repair manuals, as operation may be simpler and closer to the original service procedure.
