Spark Plug Thread Repair Set M8 × 1.0, 5 pcs.

This five-piece repair set is designed for restoring damaged M8 × 1.0 spark plug threads.

The supplied M10 × 1.0 HSS tool reams out the damaged original thread while simultaneously cutting a new receiving thread for the repair insert. Four M8 × 1.0 inserts in different lengths allow the appropriate version to be selected according to the depth of the original spark plug thread.

Instructions for Use

1. Coat the thread-cutting tool with grease.
2. Insert the tool into the damaged spark plug thread.
3. Ream out the original thread while simultaneously cutting the new receiving thread for the repair insert.
4. Ensure that no swarf enters the combustion chamber.
5. Screw the selected repair insert onto the spark plug.
6. If required, apply a suitable liquid thread-locking compound to the insert.
7. Use the spark plug to screw the repair insert into the newly cut receiving thread.
