This specialized tool set is designed for the removal and installation of subframe mounting bushings in the front and rear subframe assemblies of selected Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche vehicles.

Because the front and rear bushings have nearly identical diameters, the same tool components can be used for both applications.

The bushings can be serviced directly on the vehicle after lowering the subframe, reducing repair time and avoiding unnecessary disassembly.

Installation and Removal

The procedure for front and rear axle bushings is identical.

Before removal:

Mark the original bushing position and transfer the markings to the replacement bushing
Apply sufficient lubricant to the spindle and bushing surfaces
Lower the subframe approximately 30–40 mm

For vehicles equipped with air suspension, activate the vehicle's jack mode before beginning work.

For V8 TDI models from 2011 onwards, the thrust washer must be counter-held during installation.

Technical Notes

This set does not include a spindle.

For hydraulic operation:

Hydraulic cylinder with M20 pull spindle required

For mechanical operation:

Pull and pressure spindle with minimum M16 thread required

Recommended tightening torques:

Subframe bolts: 120 Nm + 180°
Control arm nuts: 180 Nm
