Timing Chain Tool Set for Fiat and Lancia 1.0L 3-Cylinder FireFly Engines 46341162

This special tool set is designed for checking and adjusting the engine timing on Fiat and Lancia 1.0L 3-cylinder FireFly engines.

These mild-hybrid engines have been installed in various Fiat and Lancia models since 2020. Loosening the crankshaft pulley requires the crankshaft to be secured at both the pulley and the flywheel.

Important Information

The oil pan must be removed. The exhaust pipe can remain installed.

The timing chain drive incorporates an idler gear. This gear must be removed and installed together with the timing chain.

The crankshaft oil seal is not a PTFE seal and can therefore be installed using standard or universal seal installation tools.

Reference Tightening Torques

Reference: Fiat Panda 1.0 mHEV with engine code 463 41.162

• Crankshaft pulley centre bolt: 19–21 Nm + 150°
• Warning: The crankshaft centre bolt has a left-hand thread
• Camshaft adjuster: 19–21 Nm + 50°
• Timing chain tensioner: 8–10 Nm
• Tensioning rail: 18–22 Nm
• Guide rails: 8–10 Nm
• Idler gear: 18–22 Nm
• Oil pan bolts, stage 1: 5 Nm
• Oil pan bolts, stage 2: 9 Nm

Always verify the applicable tightening specifications in the manufacturer’s repair documentation.
