1. Flywheel Locking Pin
Used as OEM equivalent to Ford 303-1059 and Volvo 999-7121
- Installed into a bore near the starter motor
- Note: The tool must also engage securely with the flywheel
2. Tensioner Locking Pin
Used as OEM equivalent to Ford 303-1054
- Compress the piston in the tensioning element
- Insert the tensioner locking pin
- The piston remains in the retracted position
3. Camshaft Sprocket Alignment Tool
Used as OEM equivalent to Ford 303-1097 and Volvo 999-7429
- Set the camshaft sprocket markings to the 12 o’clock position
- Install the alignment tool into the camshaft sprockets
- Ensure the tool edges align with the sprocket markings:
- Dot marking = intake camshaft
- Line marking = exhaust camshaft
4. Crankshaft Locking Pin
Used as OEM equivalent to Ford 303-748 and Volvo 999-7152
- Rotate the crankshaft clockwise until cylinder 1 is just before Top Dead Center (TDC)
- Remove the sealing plug from the cylinder block
- Insert the crankshaft locking pin
- Slowly rotate the crankshaft until it rests against the locking pin
5. Camshaft Sprocket Locking Pin
Used as OEM equivalent to Ford 303-735 and Volvo 999-7122
- Set the camshaft to the correct timing position
- Insert the locking pin into the camshaft sprocket
