Large and heavy aluminium wheels are now common in professional workshops. Depending on the design, a complete 18" wheel can weigh approximately 20 kg.

Positioning, rotating and holding the wheel until the wheel bolts are installed can require considerable effort. Accidental slipping may also damage the wheel or cause injuries to the hands and back.

The two-piece mounting aid set supports the wheel during removal and installation, making positioning and alignment on the wheel hub significantly easier.

Dual-Thread Guide Pins

Each guide pin features two different thread pitches, providing compatibility with four common wheel-bolt thread sizes.

The wide knurled surface provides a secure grip, allowing the pins to be installed and removed easily by hand.

For easier removal and installation, the guide pin should be fitted immediately after loosening the first wheel bolt.

Wheel Change on a Vehicle Lift

  1. Loosen the first wheel bolt and screw the suitable guide pin into the hub by hand.
  2. Remove all remaining wheel bolts and take the wheel off the vehicle.
  3. Slide the replacement wheel over the guide pin and onto the wheel hub.
  4. Install and hand-tighten the remaining wheel bolts.
  5. Unscrew the guide pin and replace it with the final wheel bolt.

Wheel Change Using a Vehicle Jack

  1. Loosen the first wheel bolt and screw the suitable guide pin into the hub by hand.
  2. Remove all remaining wheel bolts and take the wheel off the vehicle.
  3. Rotate the hub until the guide pin is positioned at approximately 6 o’clock.
  4. Roll the replacement wheel towards the hub until the guide pin enters one of the upper wheel-bolt holes. The wheel does not need to be lifted manually.
  5. Rotate the wheel at the tyre until the engaged hole reaches approximately the 10 o’clock position. This raises the wheel and allows it to slide easily onto the hub.
  6. Install the remaining wheel bolts, remove the guide pin and fit the final bolt.
