This special 36 mm socket is designed for servicing drive shafts, CV shafts, rear axle flanges and differential components where standard sockets cannot provide sufficient clearance.
Its extra-slim construction allows access to fasteners located deep inside wheel hubs, axle assemblies and drivetrain housings.
Extra-Slim Design for Restricted Access
On many vehicle applications, the clearance between the wheel hub and the drive shaft nut is extremely limited. Standard sockets are often too large to fit through the hub centering bore or reach recessed fasteners.
The thin-wall design of this socket provides the necessary access for servicing axle shaft nuts and drivetrain components without damaging surrounding parts.
For these applications, the use of Item no. 106552 is strongly recommended.
Suitable for Jaguar Differential Applications
For Jaguar XJ40 and XJ81 models, the socket can also be used on the differential input shaft and propeller shaft drive connection.
