This adjustable camshaft locking tool is designed for use during timing belt replacement and engine service on VAG V6 petrol engines. It allows secure locking and accurate positioning of the camshafts during maintenance procedures.


Compatibility

Suitable for Audi and VW V6 engines with 12V and 30V configurations.

Function

Mount the crankshaft locking tool (2) in the engine block.


When installing the crankshaft locking tool (2), the marking on the belt pulley must align with the marking on the engine block.


Position both sides of the camshaft locking tool (1) on the camshaft sprockets and tighten the adjustment wing screws.
The marking in the illustration indicates the position of the wing screws for 12V and 30V engines.
