Output Shaft Seal Installer for BMW Rear Differential 188K, 188L & 188LW – as BMW 330130, 0495860

Professional special installation tool designed for mounting the radial shaft seal of the output shaft at the output side of BMW rear axle differentials.

According to BMW repair procedures, the output shaft seal must always be replaced during leakage repairs or service work on BMW rear differentials with designation 188K, 188L and 188LW.

This seal installer ensures correct mounting and precise installation depth of the radial shaft seal, helping prevent premature seal failure.

A pre-installed protective ring fitted to the replacement seal protects the sealing lips during installation and must not slip out of the radial shaft seal during assembly.

Installation is performed using the installation tool together with a rubber or plastic hammer.

Before installation, the housing flange, seal lips, and running surface of the driveshaft should be lubricated with transmission oil.

Important Information

Incorrect loosening or tightening procedures for the insert nut and flange nut may result in severe rear differential damage or failure.
