Important Notes

For vehicles up to model year 02/2013, the clutch pedal over-center spring must be replaced when installing a new clutch.

If the existing clutch is reused, it must be compressed using Special Tool Item No. 103521 (as BMW 212170) and the SAC reset mechanism must be reset.

When draining or refilling transmission oil, note that the drain and fill plugs are identical. Do NOT loosen the separate 17 mm internal hex screw located below the fill plug, as this is the preload screw and may require complete transmission disassembly if removed.
