This 13-piece tool kit is designed for filling, bleeding and pressure testing automotive cooling systems. It enables professional leak detection by pressurizing the cooling system and allows coolant to be refilled under vacuum, reducing the risk of trapped air after repairs.

Pressure Testing

The included manual pressure pump with integrated pressure gauge allows the cooling system to be pressurized for reliable leak detection. This helps identify leaks in radiators, hoses, expansion tanks, water pumps and other cooling system components before coolant is added.

Vacuum Coolant Filling

The vacuum filling unit creates negative pressure within the cooling system, allowing fresh coolant to be drawn in quickly and evenly. This method significantly reduces trapped air and simplifies the bleeding process after repairs or coolant replacement.

Universal Compatibility

The supplied universal adapters fit the cooling systems of most passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, making the kit suitable for a wide range of vehicle manufacturers.

Cooling System Pressure Test

Install either the inner or outer clamping jaws onto the universal adapter, depending on the application.

If required, use the adapter together with the supplied rubber sealing rings to increase the adapter diameter for a secure fit.

Attach the two clamping jaws securely to opposite sides of the adapter. Insert the adapter into the radiator or coolant expansion tank opening, then press the jaws firmly against the threaded neck to create a proper seal.

Tighten the adapter by turning the adjustment knob clockwise until it is securely fastened.

Connect the hand pressure pump securely to the top of the adapter.

Pump the system until the pressure recommended by the vehicle manufacturer is reached.

Do not exceed the pressure specified by the vehicle manufacturer or the maximum gauge pressure of 35 psi (2.5 bar).

Checking for Leaks

As soon as the recommended test pressure has been reached, observe the pressure gauge.

If the pressure begins to drop, the cooling system has a leak.

Inspect the system to locate the leak and carry out any necessary repairs.

Releasing the Pressure

Once the pressure test has been completed, use the pressure release valve on the hand pump to release the system pressure until the gauge returns to 0.

Disconnect the hand pump from the adapter.

To remove the adapter, press it downward, pull up the metal locking ring, and then lift the adapter out of the radiator or expansion tank.

Vacuum Coolant Refilling

Attach the hook to the valve assembly.

Connect the valve assembly to the top of the adapter.

Connect the vacuum generator to the valve assembly.

Ensure that both valves (A and B) are closed.

Connect the compressed air supply to the valve assembly.

Attach the coolant hose to the valve assembly and place the suction end of the hose into a container filled with coolant.

Connect the compressed air supply to the vacuum generator and open Valve A while keeping Valve B closed.

When the vacuum gauge reaches 20–25 inHg (50–60 cmHg), close Valve A.

Refilling the Cooling System

Verify that Valve A is closed and that coolant is present in the coolant hose.

Open Valve B to allow the vacuum to draw coolant into the cooling system.

The flow of coolant can be monitored through the transparent inspection chamber.

The refilling process is complete when the vacuum gauge returns to 0.

Remove the tool from the cooling system after the refilling procedure has been completed.
