This solid carbide thread tap is specifically engineered for rethreading, cleaning, and repairing M22x1.5 threads, commonly found in stainless steel exhaust components. It easily handles damaged or contaminated threads in exhaust systems, catalytic converters, particulate filters, and exhaust pipes, allowing repairs without removing or replacing components.

Crafted from high-speed steel (HSS-E) and alloyed with Co5 cobalt, this tap provides superior longevity and performance in high-strength materials. Fully solid and precision-ground, it ensures accurate thread restoration even in demanding applications.

With a total length of just 47 mm and a compact 13 mm drive, it is ideal for tight spaces. The specially designed 5-flute profile cleans and repairs threads while ensuring excellent chip evacuation. A guide pin allows precise alignment in the sensor bore.
