This precision-ground M20x1.5 thread tap is specifically engineered for restoring, cleaning and repairing sensor threads in modern exhaust systems.

Threads in exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, particulate filters and downpipes are typically made of stainless steel or high-strength alloys. Standard or surface-hardened taps often fail when used on these materials. This professional-grade tap is manufactured from solid HSS-E and alloyed with 5% cobalt (Co5), ensuring high wear resistance and extended service life in demanding automotive applications.

With a compact overall length of 47 mm and a 13 mm hex drive 13 mm, the tool allows safe and precise use even in tight engine bay and underbody areas.
