This 5-piece universal cooling system pressure tester kit is designed for pressure testing automotive cooling systems and locating leaks. Thanks to the expandable cone adapters, the tester fits most cooling systems without requiring expensive vehicle-specific adapters.
The cooling system is pressurized using the supplied hand pump, allowing leaks to be detected quickly and accurately.
Universal Compatibility
The kit includes four expandable cone adapters covering a wide range of radiator and expansion tank filler neck sizes.
Cone adapter ranges:
- 17–24 mm
- 28–31.5 mm
- 37–39.5 mm
- 47–48.5 mm

Pressure Testing
The manual pressure pump is equipped with a color-coded pressure gauge with a measuring range of 0–2.4 bar (0–35 psi). A quick-connect coupling allows fast installation, while the integrated pressure relief valve enables safe pressure release after testing.
The tester can be used to inspect:

- Water pumps
- Heater cores

- Other cooling system components
If the pressure remains stable over an extended period, the cooling system can be considered leak-free.
How to Use
- Wear suitable safety glasses and protective gloves.
- Ensure the engine has cooled completely before removing the radiator cap.
- Check that the coolant level is sufficient.
- Verify the specified opening pressure on the radiator cap.
- Insert the appropriate cone adapter and tighten it by turning the handwheel clockwise until it seals the cooling system.
- Confirm that the adapter is airtight.
- Pressurize the cooling system using the hand pump to the pressure specified by the vehicle manufacturer or radiator cap.
- Inspect the cooling system for leaks.
- Release the pressure using the pressure relief valve before removing the tester.
