Guide Tool for Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal on VAG Engines, as T10122/6A

Special guide tool for installing the transmission-side crankshaft oil seal on selected engines from the VAG Group.

Before installation, the PTFE oil seal is expanded using installation aid item no. 117750, as T10122/1, and then pushed onto this guide tool.

Correct PTFE Oil Seal Installation

Push the oil seal onto the crankshaft by hand. Then use pressure sleeve item no. 118719, as T10122/5, to press the seal evenly around its entire circumference.

Incorrect installation can cause the sealing lip to fold over, resulting in oil leakage. Always check that the oil seal and its sealing lip are seated correctly.

If the sealing lip has partially folded over, the oil seal must be replaced again.

For removing the oil seal, we recommend item no. 116542, for use as T20143.
