Auxiliary Support Beam for Engine Support Bar item.no. 115402 for VW T4

Special auxiliary support beam designed as an extension for the engine support bar item.no. 115402 when working on VW T4 models with extended front body design.

As part of the VW T4 facelift introduced from model year 1995, the vehicle front section was extended by approximately 80 mm. Due to this design change, additional support is required when lifting or positioning the transmission during repair work.

This auxiliary beam allows the engine support bar to be safely mounted and used on long front-end VW T4 models.

Application

The auxiliary support beam is used together with the engine support bar:

• item.no. 115402

Installation procedure:

• Position the auxiliary beam onto the towing eye
• Secure the opposite side from below and then from the front
• Attach the engine support bar to the auxiliary beam
• Lift or pull forward the gearbox as required

This setup enables safe and efficient transmission handling with minimal effort during workshop repairs.
