This short, straight tool is designed for safely disconnecting electrical connectors with locking or retaining tabs.

Using screwdrivers or hooks can damage or break the locking mechanism, resulting in replacement of the complete connector. Before unlocking, this connector type must first be pushed slightly against the removal direction. The T-handle allows this movement to be performed while the tool releases the retaining tab.

Applications

Suitable for many electrical connectors found on:

  • Crankshaft and TDC sensors
  • Mass airflow sensors (MAF)
  • Manifold pressure sensors (MAP)
  • Ignition coils
  • Headlights
  • Fog lights
  • Fluid-level sensors
  • Other connectors with locking or retaining tabs

Suitable for numerous applications on VAG, Fiat and Opel vehicles.

Available Alternative

A longer, angled version is also available:

  • Item.no. 121836 – long angled connector release tool

Keeping both versions available provides access to connectors in different installation positions.
