Wheel Stud & Wheel Nut Thread Repair Set M12 & M14 – 8 pcs

This thread repair set is designed for restoring damaged internal and external threads on wheel studs and wheel nuts.

The split dies allow the repair to begin on the undamaged section of the thread before passing over the damaged area, making it possible to restore threads that cannot be repaired with conventional dies.

Suitable for servicing most passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

Usage Instructions

• Internal Threads
  1. Select the correct tap according to the required thread size and pitch.
  2. Apply a small amount of oil or grease to the tap.
  3. Insert the tap into the damaged internal thread.
  4. Fit a 12 mm wrench to the tap holder.
  5. Turn the tap slowly clockwise to restore the damaged thread.
• External Threads
  1. Select the correct split threading die according to the required thread size and pitch.
  2. Apply a small amount of oil or grease to the damaged thread.
  3. Open the two halves of the split threading die slightly and position them around the threaded stud.
  4. Slide the die holder over the split threading die, ensuring the locating pins engage correctly with the die.
  5. Fit a 24 mm wrench to the die holder.
  6. Turn the die holder slowly to restore the damaged external thread.
