Shaft Seal Tool for DSG 7-Speed 0B5 S-Tronic Transmissions Audi Porsche, as T40198, T40198/1

Specialized installation tool set designed for mounting the transmission input shaft seal on DSG 7-speed 0B5 S-Tronic wet clutch gearboxes used in many Audi and Porsche models.

The clutch assembly is sealed with a cover and shaft seal. During clutch pack replacement or transmission repair procedures, the shaft seal should always be renewed to ensure proper sealing and reliable transmission operation.

For flywheel removal, the use of item no. 123284, to be used as T40176, is recommended.

The input shaft seal can be removed using extraction hooks such as item no. 116542, to be used as T20143.

Suitable for professional workshop servicing and transmission repair operations.

Application Procedure

To protect the inner sealing surface, the protective installation sleeve is first placed over the shaft.

The seal is then pressed into position using the pressure adapter until it reaches the seating surface.

Installation can be carried out using a plastic or rubber hammer.

Important Information

Before installation, the outer circumference of the new shaft seal must be lubricated with transmission oil.

The space between the sealing lip and dust lip inside the shaft seal should be filled halfway with sealing grease.

Recommended sealing grease:

• G052128A1
• G055128A1
