Strut Support Attachment for Transmission Jack Ø30 mm with Ø80 mm Strut Mount

This professional strut support attachment is designed for use with transmission jacks to safely hold and support suspension struts directly on the vehicle during repair and maintenance procedures.

Thanks to the extra-large Ø80 mm support mount, the tool is compatible with nearly all passenger car and van shock absorbers. The matching retaining insert secures the suspension strut against slipping during operation.

Repair work on wheel bearing housings, shock absorbers, steering knuckles, control arms and axle assemblies often requires levering, pressing or assistance from a second mechanic due to suspension preload and limited suspension travel.

This strut holding tool allows the mechanic to maintain the suspension strut at a desired height or gently push it upward into the strut tower. This helps relieve tension from shock absorber clamp connections and ball joints while improving accessibility during repairs.

The tool also helps prevent uncontrolled driveshaft movement from the transmission — common on PSA and Renault vehicles — while protecting CV joints and boots from damage. Control arms can additionally be removed more easily from the front axle carrier.

For difficult suspension disassembly procedures, additional spreader tools and pneumatic vibration tools may be recommended.
