This specialized timing tool kit is designed for professional timing adjustment on Opel 1.2L turbo petrol engines from the LIH engine generation (from 2019 onward).
It is essential for:

The kit includes all necessary tools for precise timing adjustment and correct installation of the lower timing cover including the crankshaft front oil seal.

Special Tool Requirement
The camshafts feature a hexagonal drive section, which can only be accessed using special tool:

Due to limited space, this tool is required for proper camshaft rotation.
Technical Notes
Camshaft Tool Clamping
- Clamping bolts for camshaft adapters must be tightened to 20 Nm
Crankshaft Locking Recommendation
During loosening and tightening of the crankshaft:
- The TDC locking pin should be removed from the flywheel
- Only the locking tooth should absorb torque loads
Timing Adjustment Procedure
Crankshaft
- Spring-loaded locking pin fixes crankshaft at 118.14° after TDC
- With tool installed, crankshaft must not rotate
Camshaft Conditions
At timing position:
- Valves of cylinder 3 must be closed
- Camshaft flats must be vertical
- Camshaft locking tool must be installed with marking “I” facing upward
Camshaft sprockets must be installed correctly:
- Front side has two different diameter locating pins
Crankshaft Oil Seal
- Front crankshaft seal installation tool (use as EN-52432) is included
- For transmission-side seal:
→ No special tool required if replacement part includes mounting sleeve (EN-52434 not required)
Torque Specifications (Reference)
(Example: Opel Astra K 1.2T F12SHT)
- Timing belt tensioner & idler: 36 Nm
- Camshaft sprockets: 50 Nm + 28°
- Crankshaft bolt: 150 Nm + 150°
- Starter motor: 58 Nm
- Camshaft adjuster solenoids: 8.5 Nm
- Lower timing cover: 4 Nm → 8.5 Nm
- Valve cover: 4 Nm → 8.5 Nm
