Universal Brake Caliper Bleeder Valve Repair Kit 1/4" & 1/8" NPT

This universal repair kit is designed for the professional repair of broken or damaged brake caliper bleeder valves. During the repair process, the complete bleeder valve including the damaged thread is drilled out. A new thread is then cut and a threaded repair insert with a new bleeder valve is installed.

The kit provides a reliable and cost-effective alternative to replacing the entire brake caliper and is suitable for a wide range of vehicles.

Compatible with many vehicle brands including Audi, Volkswagen, Opel and numerous other makes.

• 1 HSS twist drill, 6.0 mm
• 1 HSS twist drill, 8.5 mm
• 1 titanium nitride coated reamer, 11 mm
• 1 HSS tap, 1/8" x 27 NPT
• 1 HSS tap, 1/4" x 18 NPT
• 1 countersink, 90°, HSS
• 2 valve repair inserts, 1/4" NPT
• 2 valve repair inserts, 1/8" NPT
• 1 storage box

Repair Procedure

1. Drill out the broken bleeder valve completely.
2. Enlarge the opening with the supplied reamer.
3. Cut a new thread using the appropriate NPT tap.
4. Install the threaded repair insert with the new bleeder valve.
5. Bleed the brake system according to the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.

1/8" Bleeder Valve Insert

• Drill out the original bleeder valve using a 6 mm twist drill and enlarge the hole with an 8.5 mm twist drill.

• Use a 90° countersink to machine the drilled hole.

• Select the 1/8" tap and cut a new thread for the 1/8" bleeder valve insert.

• Apply thread sealant to the 1/8" bleeder valve insert, install it into the threaded hole, and tighten securely.

1/4" Bleeder Valve Insert

• Drill out the original bleeder valve using a 6 mm twist drill and enlarge the hole with an 8.5 mm twist drill.

• Enlarge the hole further using the 11 mm drill.

• Use a 90° countersink to machine the drilled hole.

• Select the 1/4" tap and cut a new thread for the 1/4" bleeder valve insert.

• Apply thread sealant to the 1/4" bleeder valve insert, install it into the threaded hole, and tighten securely.

Installation and Use

• Insert the bleeder valve insert into the newly cut thread.

• Tighten the bleeder valve insert using an appropriate wrench.

• The brake system can now be bled again using the new bleeder valve.
