Special press tool for installing the front crankshaft oil seal on VAG 4.0L V8 TDI Common Rail engines from the first generation of the EA898 engine family.
The installer presses the oil seal evenly and accurately into its specified installation position.
Required Guide Sleeve
The installer must be used together with the separately available guide sleeve, item no. 121581, as T40320/2.
The guide sleeve protects the sealing lip while the oil seal is positioned on the crankshaft and helps prevent deformation or damage during installation.
The required guide sleeve is listed under “Recommended Additional Tools.”
