Front Crankshaft Oil Seal Installation Tool Set for VAG and Porsche V6/V8 TDI and TFSI, as T40320B

Special tool set for installing front crankshaft oil seals on selected VAG and Porsche V6 and V8 TDI and TFSI engines.

The set covers V6 TDI Common Rail engines from the second generation of the EA897 family, V8 TDI Common Rail engines from the first generation of the EA898 family and 4.0L V8 TFSI engines from the EA825 family.

PTFE Oil Seal Installation

PTFE oil seals must be brought to the correct installation size before being fitted.

Use the appropriate guide sleeve and slide the oil seal slowly and evenly onto the crankshaft. This prevents the sealing lip from folding over, which could otherwise cause damage and subsequent oil leakage.

The crankshaft oil seal is then pressed into its specified position using the crankshaft central bolt together with the appropriate pull-in sleeve or press tool.
