Specialized counter-holding tool designed for securing the vibration damper (crankshaft pulley) during service operations. Required when loosening or tightening the crankshaft central bolt.
Function
The tool prevents rotation of the vibration damper, allowing safe and controlled loosening and tightening of high-torque fasteners. It is especially essential during removal and installation procedures of the vibration damper.
Usage Note
In the original repair procedure, this holding tool is used in combination with a torque multiplier.
However, the required torque specification of 180 Nm + 90° can also be achieved using standard workshop equipment. The tool can be held using a 1/2" breaker bar against the subframe or by a second technician.
