Timing Tool Set for Volvo 2.0L D420T2, D420T8, as 9997767, 9997719

Special timing tool set consisting of a camshaft setting tool and crankshaft holding tool for Volvo 2.0L D420T2 and D420T8 engines installed in selected vehicles from 2016 onwards.

The tools allow the camshaft and crankshaft to be correctly positioned and held during timing belt replacement and related engine timing work.

Important Note for Timing Belt Replacement

The camshaft and crankshaft oil seals should be inspected whenever the timing belt is replaced on these engines.

Oil leakage can contaminate and damage the timing belt, potentially resulting in timing belt failure and severe engine damage.

Reference Tightening Torques

The following values are given as a reference for the Volvo V90 II with D420T8 engine:

• Crankshaft centre bolt: 90 Nm + 110°

• Camshaft centre bolt: 50 Nm + 60°

• Small idler pulley: 17 Nm

• Large idler pulley: 24 Nm

• Timing belt tensioner: 30 Nm
