Crankshaft Pulley Holding Tool
The counter-holding wrench for the crankshaft pulley (1) is used to counterhold when loosening the central bolt (left-hand thread) of the pulley flange.
For installation of the tool, the 4 bolts of the pulley and the pulley itself must be removed.
Note: Do not loosen the central bolt while camshaft or crankshaft timing tools are installed, as this may damage the tools. Always use the counter-holding wrench when loosening or tightening the central bolt.
Timing Chain Tension Lever
The chain tension lever is used to lock the timing chain when replacing the gasket.
The tool is installed so that it aligns with the service opening in the engine cover, allowing the pin to act on the ribs of the chain guide.
Retract the piston of the chain tensioner using the lever until it moves into the locking position.
Ensure that the tensioner is fully extended before retracting it.
Camshaft Alignment Tools (2 pcs)
The camshaft alignment tools are used to set the camshaft timing. Once installed, the camshafts remain in the correct adjustment position.
Before installation, the sealing plugs must be removed. One plug is located at the front of the valve cover and the other at the rear.
To access the plugs, the fuel line and wiring harness must be lifted.
Install the tools so that the internal wrench flats are positioned horizontally.
The tools are correctly installed when they can be slightly pressed inward.
Note: These tools are intended for aligning the camshafts only, not for locking them when loosening or tightening camshaft sprockets.
Crankshaft Alignment Tools
Setting pin (6) for Fiat – Setting pin (5) for Opel & Suzuki
After installation, these tools hold the crankshaft in the timing position and ensure correct alignment during chain installation.
Warning: These tools are intended for alignment only. Never use them when loosening or tightening bolts.
Crankshaft Locking Tool (Flywheel Side)
The crankshaft locking tool is used to hold the crankshaft (flywheel side) in the timing position.
It is used during complete engine overhauls and when the engine is removed.
The tool is mounted to the flywheel mounting bolts, which requires the flywheel to be removed.
Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.
