Code:8595
-
Weight:5.246 Kgs
Overview:
✔ Designed for installing and removing valve springs
✔ Enables valve stem seal replacement without removing the cylinder head
✔ Compressed air prevents the valves from dropping into the combustion chamber
✔ Includes a pressure hose for supplying compressed air to the cylinder
✔ Suitable for M14 and M18 spark-plug threads
✔ Includes a valve keeper installation tool
✔ Universal 21-piece set for different valve spring configurations
This universal tool set is designed for compressing valve springs during removal and installation. It enables valve stem seals to be replaced while the cylinder head remains installed.
Compressed-Air Valve Support
The included pressure hose supplies compressed air to the cylinder through the spark-plug opening. The resulting pressure holds the valves securely against their seats while the valve springs and keepers are removed.
This prevents the valves from dropping into the combustion chamber during servicing.
Compatible Connections
Suitable for the following spark-plug threads:
- M14
- M18
Valve Keeper Installation
The included installation tool supports controlled fitting of the valve keepers during reassembly of the valve spring components.

Scope of Delivery
- 21-piece valve spring installation and removal set
- Valve spring compression components
- Pressure hose for supplying compressed air to the cylinder
- Connections for M14 and M18 spark-plug threads
- Valve keeper installation tool
- Adapters and mounting accessories
- Insert the lever into the slot of the valve spring adapter and secure it with the locking pin. The different holes in the lever and adapter determine the correct position of the adapter over the valve.
- Select suitable mounting positions for the two supports on the cylinder head.
- Secure both supports to the cylinder head using the supplied screws. Insert the round support bar into the appropriate holes. The seven holes in the side supports allow the bar to be positioned at the required height.
- Remove the spark plug or diesel injector from the relevant cylinder.
- Screw the appropriate adapter with pressure hose into the spark-plug or injector thread.
- Rotate the engine to ignition top dead centre, lock the crankshaft against rotation and connect the adapter to a compressed-air supply.
- Position one of the two lever recesses beneath the round support bar. Ensure that the valve spring adapter presses vertically onto the valve spring.
- If the adapter is not perpendicular to the spring, reposition the lever and adapter using the available adjustment holes.
- Verify that air pressure is present and that the valve remains closed when the spring is pressed down.
- If necessary, release the valve spring retainer with light, even taps around its edge.
- Press down the lever to compress the valve spring, then remove the valve keepers. The compressed air prevents the valve from dropping into the combustion chamber.
- Slowly release the valve spring, remove the spring and retainer, and replace the valve stem seal.
- Reassemble all components in reverse order.
